2013 Artisans on the Green Application

Artisans on the Green

At the Dixboro Fair

Dixboro United Methodist Church

5221 Church Road

Ann Arbor, MI 48105

Dear Artisan:

You are invited to apply for participation in the 20th annual Artisans on the Green, a juried arts and craft show that is part of the Dixboro Fair.  It is situated on the Dixboro Village Green about two miles east of US-23 on Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan.  The Fair will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013, from 10a.m. to 5p.m.  This event, sponsored by Dixboro United Methodist Church, is held in a beautiful outdoor setting with all day entertainment, food, activities and games.  Last year we had a very successful fair and are very excited about this year’s event.  As in the past, a good portion of this year’s net proceeds will go to local charities.

In order to maintain the show’s quality, we have acceptance guidelines.  You will find them enclosed with this letter as well as an application for this year’s event.  If you have questions after thoroughly reading these requirements, feel free to contact me at

586-703-0603 or  HYPERLINK mailto:dixborofairart@att.net dixborofairart@att.net.  Entries should be sent to:

Artisans on the Green Guidelines

All entrants will be juried.  The Artisans on the Green Coordinator will make the final decision regarding acceptance and jury members.  To apply, please submit photos representing each medium of work to be sold.  Also include a photo example of your booth set-up.  Applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2013.  There are no refunds once the acceptance letters have been sent. Applications received after May 1st will only be considered if space is still available. All responses will be sent prior to Memorial Day via email unless none is provided, and then a letter will be mailed.

All works must be original and handcrafted by the artist.  Please be advised that we strictly enforce this rule; your booth will be reviewed prior to the start of the show to check for compliance.  Those selling unapproved goods will be asked to remove them.  Booths with more than one media will be approved on an individual basis. Because of the large number of jewelry applications in the past we anticipate limiting our number of accepted jewelers this year. If you are a jeweler, we ask that you estimate the percentage of your booth that will be jewelry.
