Vacation Bible School
Each summer, a week long program is offered where children, ages 3-years through fifth grade, learn bible stories through songs, dance, crafts, games, and drama. Sixth graders-high school serve as assistants. This year it will be held in the evenings from 6:00 - 8:30 P.M., Sunday, June 20th, through Thursday, June 24th. The theme will be “High Seas Expedition.”

FROG Week
FROG week is right around the corner – Monday, August 23rd – Friday, August 27th   from 9 A.M. until 4 P.M.  Lee Mein and Beth Little will be leading the group of middle schoolers in local mission projects and fun activities.  We’re still planning the details, but spread the word to any entering 6th through 8th graders.  We ask for a donation of $50 per child to cover costs of lunch and fun activities.  We may need additional drivers, so please let me know if you’d be able to help out.  Email Beth Little at education@dixborochurch.org for more information or to register.

Special Services
Annually, the Sunday school classes present a Christmas program, a worship service, and family events.

Church Participation
Children in fifth grade and above are offered the opportunity to participate in the worship services as acolytes, ushers, and greeters.

Confirmation
Seventh and eighth graders are given the opportunity to explore their faith through discussion, activities, and service projects while considering church membership (usually offered bi-annually.)

Adult Sunday School Classes
Adult classes are offered throughout the regular school year from 10:15-10:45 A.M. Topics and class length vary. Details are provided in the weekly bulletins.

Youth Group
Sandy Bowers, Leader youth@dixborochurch.org
Middle and High School students meet on Wednesday evenings during the regular school year from 7:00-8:30 P.M. Activities are scheduled that focus on group building, exploring our faith, serving others, and having fun! Youth participate in several service projects throught the year. Each summer, youth and adults travel to Tennessee to participate in the Tennessee Outreach Program (Mountain T.O.P.), a mission project that serves the Appalachian people.

Mountain T.O.P.
Kids and adults alike had an amazing experience putting our faith into action.  For those not familiar with the trip, it’s a week-long mission to the mountains of Tennessee where high school students and adults venture out to do home repair, painting, building, cleaning and, most importantly, ministry for families in need.  The theme this year was “hope”, so we come back with this challenge: Let people know you have hope and be ready to tell them why!  Special thanks go out to the Coffeys for the use of their vans, the Johns for the use of their trailer and Sandy Warren for her help with the tools.

Library
An exciting assortment of books, tapes and videos are available in the library.
