Graduation & Scholarship Recipients & Thank You Notes

Dixboro UMC has handed out scholarship from endowments and memorial money since 1996, that’s 22 years of supporting our youth and their families! That is more than $50,000!!
Our recipients this year were Ben and Ian Little who received scholarships from the Ivan & Elnor Parker Achievement Award, Suzanne Smith Memorial and Ardith King Memorial. Ben and Ian are two great young men who continue to rely on their family and God to encourage them along the path God has laid out before them. Both of them attend Michigan State University.
Kelsey Charnetski received the Barbara Morris Academic Achievement, and she is a person who knows what she wants and what she likes to do. Her willingness to participate in mission trips and outreach opportunities has continued to shape her life and will continue to shape her future. Kelsey is attending Ball State University. Kelsey sent a thank you note, saying, “Thank you so much for awarding me with a scholarship. I am going to school out of state, and this scholarship is really going to help a lot. Thank you so much.”
The Terry Wick Memorial Scholarship is in memory of Carol Wiegel’s son, and Gabrielle Cox received it. Gabby will be attending Eastern Michigan University in the fall. She says in her essay, “I am excited to pursue a career in nursing, where I can continue to share God’s word and love on a much bigger scale!” Gabby also send a thank you note saying, “Thank you Dixboro Church for loving and supporting me all these years. Everything you guys have done means a lot to me.”
