Kathleen Hucks
Administrative Assistant
Kathleen truly enjoys being able to help the church run smoothly and having the opportunity to get to know so many church members through her position here at Dixboro Church. She grew up in the United Methodist Church from a young age in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kathleen's education includes a Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Psychology; a Masters degree in Counseling, with a specialization in college populations; and a graduate certification in Academic Advising from Eastern Michigan University. In addition to being the Administrative Assistant at the church, Kathleen also teaches fitness classes to other moms. However, her most important job is as mom to her beautiful sons, James and William.
Kathleen and her husband, Randy met in 2008 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They moved to Michigan in 2010 for Randy to pursue his PhD in Accounting at the University of Michigan. They were married in June 2011 and decided to stay in Michigan after Randy graduated as he accepted a tenure track professorship at Eastern Michigan University. Randy and Kathleen welcomed James Samuel into their lives on June 9, 2017. Her immediate family and her extended Church family are what Kathleen cherishes most.
Kathleen's life verse: Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
