A Statement from the Dixboro United Methodist Church Leadership Council Regarding the 2019 General Conference Vote

Welcome to Dixboro Church, we are excited to have you with us. We are people helping people CONNECT with God in worship, and with one another, GROW in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and SERVE real needs in practical ways. For more information, and a first time visitors guide, click below. ​​

As you should know by now, in an abundance of caution, we are suspending Sunday Worship temporarily. We will obviously reassess how to move forward as this situation progresses. In addition, the Dixboro Church office will be closed during this time but feel free to contact any of the staff with questions or for pastoral care. 

We do want to stay in contact with our whole Dixboro Family during this difficult time and keep you as informed as possible. As such, here are some things you should know about. 

EASTER ORDER FORMS  
Hot Cross Buns
Be sure to get your orders in so the Dixboro Cooks make enough. We are baking on Saturday, April 4th and pick up is after service on Palm Sunday (April 5th). Specifics are in the order form on our website.

Easter Flowers
Help decorate our Sanctuary for Easter and honor a loved one by purchasing tulips and daffodils. We have an online sign-up on our website. The cost is for the flowers will be $10 per pot. Please sign up by April 5th (Palm Sunday). Make checks to DUMC, with “Altar Guild” in the memo line.

PRAYER REQUESTS
While we may not be meeting in person, it is important for us to keep each other in our prayers. As such, please pray for all those impacted by this COVID-19 pandemic and our prayer list.

Senior Fellowship
Senior Fellowship Has Been Cancelled for the Month of March. We will keep you informed about if there will be an April meeting. 

DUMW News
The DUMW Soup Sunday and March 22nd meeting when we were going to do our "Prayer and Self Denial" program will be rescheduled to a later time. 

New Opportunity!! Beatty Early Learning Center Partnership
The Outreach Team is forming a partnership with the Beatty Early Learning Center. The Center is a part of the Ypsilanti Community Schools. They serve at risk children ages 3-5. We hope to meet some of the needs which have been identified by the Learning Center. Some of the needs are socks, underwear (sizes 2-6), diapers (sizes 3-6), Kleenex, hand sanitizer, batteries (AA & AAA), blankets, and persons to read one on one with children in the classroom. If you would like to donate items or volunteer contact Roberta King or Rev. Jeanne Garza.

Signups are available:

• Bringing flowers for the altar
• Providing coffee hour refreshments
• Helping with Communion
• Being the liturgist/reader during worship
