Social Justice: Equality, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion are utilized as needed to dismantle systems of privilege and oppression
Equality: the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities.
Equity: overcoming unfairness caused by unequal access to economic resources and power
Diversity: the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc.
Inclusive: All people feel respected, heard, valued, and understood, particularly those from marginalized groups.
Rights: equal effective legal, industrial and political rights
Participation: expanded opportunities for real participation in the decisions which govern their lives
LBGTQIA: Lesbian (homosexual females), Bisexual (attracted to both genders), Gay (homosexual males), Transgender (those whose gender identity or expression differ from their sex assigned at birth), Queer (those who reject binary gender identity or sexual orientation models) or Questioning (discerning who you are), Intersex (people born with both male and female organs or have a different level of hormones or a different combination of chromosomes), Asexual (a person’s enduring physical, romantic, emotional and/or spiritual attraction to others).
